Offshore Vessel Management
Kyoei Marine is engaged in full management of offshore vessels, including crew deployment.
Our ship management services include vessel safety and operation management, vessel maintenance management, and crew deployment and employment management.
In offshore projects such as oceanographic surveys, offshore wind projects, and subsea operations, safe vessel operations and reliable vessel availability are essential.
Kyoei Marine establishes an operation management system in which onboard and shore-side teams coordinate to support safe vessel operation and smooth project execution while making appropriate decisions and adjustments according to the situation.

Primary Ship Management Services
Vessel Safety and Operation Management
To prevent marine accidents and protect the environment, we establish and operate safety management systems and ship security systems based on international standards, including the ISM Code and ISPS Code, tailored to each managed vessel.
Furthermore, rather than merely maintaining safe operation, we systematically support project success by making arrangements for various vessel inspections required of vessels for project execution, e.g., eCMID and OVID.
Vessel Maintenance Management
Keeping the hull and equipment in good condition is essential for safe operations and helps preserve the vessel’s long-term asset value. We strive to prevent equipment and hull defects by visiting vessels regularly and checking onboard conditions while directly exchanging opinions with crew members, external engineers, and dockyard personnel.
Comprehensive maintenance-related work, ranging from daily inspections and care to repairs of damaged areas and major maintenance represent part of the services we undertake. We also respond appropriately to third-party inspections by inspection bodies in respective countries, including inspections for foreign-flag vessels, and maintain compliance with international standards by supporting document preparation and onboard checks. In the event of issues with equipment or the hull, we respond quickly in cooperation with crew members and external contractors.
Crew Deployment and Employment
Management
Ultimately, it is people who determine the safety and quality of a vessel. Having particular strength in recruiting crew members, we believe that securing, retaining, and developing excellent crew members is extremely important.
For all crew members boarding managed vessels, we develop appropriate crew deployment and employment plans with their skills, onboard evaluations, and health taken into account, according to which embarkation plans are arranged. We also plan and offer training programs for a crew’s skill improvement.
Regular vessel visits and day-to-day communication help build a relationship of trust with each crew member, forming the foundation for safe and stable vessel operations.
Consulting Services
Our consulting services are offered to support third-party vessel inspections.
Vessels undergoing third-party inspections, such as IMCA eCMID or OCIMF OVID, are often cited for matters that have not been required in Japan.
Based on the know-how Kyoei Marine has cultivated through offshore vessel management, we are capable of identifying in advance the items likely to be pointed out, based on which, we prioritize the items to be addressed and provide support for third-party vessel inspection.
Extensive Experience in
Third-Party Vessel Inspections
Support and Consulting Services for Third-Party Vessel Inspections by IMCA and OCIMF
Support is available for inspections conducted under international standards, including eCMID and OVID. Advance mock inspections help identify and prioritize items requiring attention, followed by detailed support through final preparation for the inspection day.
Kyoei Marine became a member of IMCA in 2025.
Support and Consulting Services for Third-Party Vessel Inspections When Introducing CTVs
Where third-party vessel inspections are required in connection with the introduction of CTVs, we can provide support for document preparation, preliminary onboard checks, and preparation for the day of inspection.
We will use our accumulated experience to help vessels pass inspections smoothly and begin safe operation.
DPO Deployment
We dispatch experienced dynamic positioning operators (DPOs).
A DPO is a specialist operating a DP system to automatically maintain a vessel’s position. At sites for oceanographic surveys, offshore wind, and subsea operations, etc., advanced shiphandling skills and judgment are essential. DPOs dispatched by Kyoei Marine with experience operating DP vessels facilitate safe and stable execution of offshore operations.
